Eamcet Enginnering phase-I Completed
About
1.08 lakh seats, including convener quota and merit list seats, were
left vacant as the major phase of Eamcet counselling concluded here on
Tuesday, which experts said is an indication of falling interest in
technical education.
At least 13 out of the 609 private engineering colleges recorded zero admission this year as there were no takers. Also, less than 10 students took admission in 34 engineering colleges.
A total of 2.18 lakh students qualified for Eamcet-2013 out of which just 1.30 lakh students came forward for Eamcet certificate verification, the first step in the counselling process this year.
Worrying Numbers
2,25,846 seats are available in 643 private and government engineering colleges

The Hyderabad Students Festival ‘13
The Hyderabad Students
Festival ‘13 is a platform for students to exhibit their talents and to
express themselves in a constructive way. Be it art, culture, technical
or professional side of the student genius, the festival gives it a
creative dimension.
Throughout the festival students come to identify, appreciate, and team up for promotion of talents. The festival is a get-together of some of the brightest minds and transformative youth voices in Hyderabad bringing to the city the concept of entertainment based on ethics,morals and values.
The event aims to inculcate social sensitivity among students. This carnival provides a platform for ambitious students to showcase their talents and compete in a healthy way.
The event promotes a keen sense of campus activism and focuses on channellizing students’ potential towards individual improvement and societal transformation.
The festival enlightens upon emerging trends and technologies; and aims to be a
